Black History Trail of Geary County Fund
The Black History Trail of Geary County is dedicated to honoring and preserving the legacy of Black Americans who have played a vital role in shaping the history and culture of Junction City, Geary County, and the surrounding region. Through interpretive signage, historical markers, and educational materials, the Trail brings to life the stories, contributions, and experiences of Black individuals and communities across generations.
Support for the Trail helps fund the creation and installation of signs at key historical sites and public programs that foster community engagement, cultural awareness, and historical understanding. Contributions also help us maintain and expand educational resources such as kiosks, guest speaker engagements, and community gatherings. By supporting the Black History Trail, you are helping ensure that this proud and essential part of Kansas history is preserved, shared, and celebrated for years.
